Это ли не доказательство нашего от них происхождения?

Gangs of chimpanzees fight deadly turf wars against rivals to expand their own territory, new research reveals.

Researchers have discovered that large groups seem to send out patrols to strategically kill rivals before moving into their terrain.

It is the first definitive proof of this kind of land grabs and could provide a evolutionary reason for mankind's historical empire building.

Chimpanzees – along with bonobos – are humans' closest living relatives. Anthropologists have long known that they kill their neighbours, and they suspected that they did so to seize their land.

Prof Mitani said: "Although some previous observations appear to support that hypothesis, until now, we have lacked clear-cut evidence."
